ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:52, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Red

[edit]

Hi there, ShyAndroid, and welcome to Women in Red. I see you have already created two women's biographies on the Simple wiki and hope you will now be creating some here too. In this connection, you might find it useful to look through our Ten Simple Rules. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 08:41, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I've read that page before, but it's always useful as a refresher, and Rule 6 especially reminded me to check if my Simple English articles had any mentions in other pages that hadn't been linked. Simple English seems less scared of including redlinks than English Wikipedia--I think just due to how many important articles it's missing by comparison--but I did still find some! (Christy Marx's page only has the one outside link for now, but i think that's mostly just because all of her head writer creds don't have pages yet--Simple English has some gaps in the old-cartoon-show department. I plan on translating Jem at some point, which should make her article a little less lonely.)
Will definitely keep these rules in mind for my current English draft, too. Thank you so much for the warm welcome!  :) ShyAndroid (talk) 17:58, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not Ignoring You

[edit]

Just wanted to say I’m not ignoring you just felt no need to spam up the discussion. Thanks for your words. I ought to work on my temper. RakdosWitch (talk) 18:04, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply, and no worries, we all need reminders from time to time. Getting upset sometimes is part of being human, I totally get it. ShyAndroid (talk) 21:56, 24 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
