The 2025 Mérida Open Akron is a WTA 500 tournament played on outdoor hardcourts as part of the 2025 WTA Tour. This is the second edition of the Mérida Open, which takes place at the Yucatán Country Club in Mérida, Mexico, from 24 February to 2 March 2025.[1] It was originally scheduled to take place from 27 October to 2 November 2025 as a WTA 250, but got upgraded to a WTA 500 status and moved to its newest date to fill the vacancy generated by the cancellation of the San Diego Open.[2][3]
