Healthwise I'm fine thanks. Sitting here with tears streaming down my face on learning about Marianne Faithfull, spotted a piece about her on an obscure French-language newpaper site while researching sources for an article I'm trying to re-write. Brings back memories of my teenage years, the happiest period of my life, 1960s music (nothing since is its equal), Beatles, etc. Nostalgia! 1950s were the years before TV, there were five cinemas we used to go to, spread around 3 towns, tried to remember their names but only got 2 of them right. I knew one of them (my parents called it the "flea-pit", but I couldn't see anything wrong with it) began with the letter "C", but couldn't remember its name. Was quite pleased I managed to track it down, see the Countess Cinema. All 5 of those cinemas have since closed, but some new ones have appeared. I think now it's only going to be a matter of time before they arrest me and throw me in prison for protesting against the genocide. The big demo on 18 Jan (I've only missed two so far, medical problems) really got my blood boiling (google it for all the horrors) and made me even more determined. --NSH001 (talk) 21:08, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
