DescriptionParvancorina minchami life restoration.jpg
English: Life restoration of Parvancorina minchami, a soft-bodied animal of unknown type from the Ediacaran biota which has been found in South Australia and Russia. Its average size is around a centimeter or two (half an inch to an inch). The relationship of Parvancorina to other animal groups is unclear. At first it was thought to be a proto-arthropod, from a superficial resemblance to the forms of some early trilobites, but that has since been rejected. Some have pointed out that it has similarities to other Ediacaran animals which are thought to be related to molluscs.
